Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
1. Introduction
WordSalvo ("the App") is a multiplayer word game developed by Battlejet ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, which service providers help us run the App, and how you can control your data.
2. Data We Collect
Account and profile data — a Firebase Authentication user ID and, where applicable, identifiers from Google, Apple, Facebook, or email/password sign-in; display name, profile photo URL, friend code, selected language, avatar, preferences, and email address if provided.
Gameplay, social, and content data — game moves, scores, results, ratings, statistics, achievements, season or tournament standings, daily puzzle results, streaks, Word Book entries, friend requests, friend lists, rivalry records, invite links, referral codes, reports, blocks, moderation signals, support messages, and in-game chat messages.
Contacts and sharing — if you choose to invite someone from your contacts, the App opens the system contact picker and receives only the selected contact's name and phone number for that invite action. We do not upload or store your full address book.
Device, diagnostics, and local data — Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, Firebase Crashlytics diagnostics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase App Check, Firebase Installations, settings, cached definitions, game state, consent choices, SharedPreferences, SQLite, and platform storage.
Analytics data — Firebase Analytics and PostHog may collect app usage events such as screens viewed, features used, language choices, onboarding steps, purchases, and game events, subject to your in-app analytics choices where applicable.
Advertising and attribution data — when ads are enabled for non-premium users, Google AdMob and its ad partners may process ad requests, ad impressions, ad clicks, approximate location, device information, advertising identifiers, and consent signals. On iOS, the Apple IDFA is available only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission. On Android, the Google Advertising ID may be used subject to Android settings and applicable consent choices.
Ad measurement and campaign attribution — Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, TikTok Business SDK, and Meta/Facebook SDK may process event, device, attribution, or advertising-related data to measure ads, app installs, purchases, subscriptions, and campaign performance, subject to applicable consent and platform settings.
Purchases and subscriptions — purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat helps us manage entitlements such as Premium and Remove Ads. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Data
• Provide the App, including accounts, online play, matchmaking, friend features, daily puzzles, leaderboards, ratings, seasons, purchases, and support.
• Save your progress, preferences, profile, game history, and local/offline data.
• Send notifications and service messages, including turn alerts, game invites, friend requests, account messages, and important updates.
• Operate safety, moderation, abuse prevention, security, App Check, and fair play systems.
• Measure app usage, diagnose crashes, improve performance, and decide which features to improve.
• Show ads to eligible non-premium users, manage ad consent choices, limit ad fraud, and measure ad performance.
• Process purchases, manage subscriptions, unlock entitlements, and provide purchase support.
4. Consent and Choices
Analytics and crash reporting — you can manage usage analytics and crash reporting in the App's Privacy Settings.
Advertising privacy options — where available, you can revisit Google AdMob privacy choices from Settings → Privacy Options.
European regulations — users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland may be asked for consent for personalised ads, non-personalised ads, cookies or similar technologies, analytics, and related ad purposes through Google User Messaging Platform or another supported consent flow.
US state privacy laws — residents of states with applicable privacy laws can use Privacy Options to opt out of sale or sharing where advertising activity may be considered "sharing" or targeted advertising under those laws.
iOS App Tracking Transparency — iOS users can allow or deny tracking in Apple's ATT prompt and can change this later in iOS Settings.
Notifications — you can allow, deny, or change push notification permissions in your device settings and in the App's notification settings.
Public statistics — you can control certain profile/statistics visibility in Privacy Settings.
5. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal data for money. We share data with service providers and partners only as needed to operate, improve, secure, monetise, and support the App. Some advertising and measurement activity may be considered a "sale", "sharing", or targeted advertising under certain US state privacy laws; where required, you can opt out through Privacy Options.
• Firebase and Google Cloud — authentication, database, cloud functions, storage, remote configuration, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, app check, installations, and hosting.
• Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google ad partners — ad delivery, ad measurement, consent collection, privacy options, fraud prevention, and ad partner processing.
• PostHog — product analytics and feature usage measurement, subject to your analytics choices.
• RevenueCat — purchase entitlement management and subscription status.
• Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and platform services.
• TikTok Business SDK — app event, attribution, and advertising campaign measurement.
• Meta/Facebook SDK — Facebook login, app events, sharing integrations, and advertising or attribution measurement where enabled.
• Sign-in providers — Google, Apple, Facebook, and email/password authentication providers.
• Other players — your display name, profile photo, rating, game statistics, friend code, and game-related information may be visible to opponents, friends, or leaderboards depending on the feature and your settings.
• Law enforcement, regulators, or legal requests — when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
6. Data Storage, Security, and International Transfers
Cloud data is stored using Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.
Some service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States and European Union member states. We rely on the providers' applicable transfer mechanisms where required.
Local game data is stored on your device using platform storage, SharedPreferences, and SQLite.
We use Firebase App Check, authentication, access rules, and other technical controls to protect backend services from unauthorised access.
7. Data Retention
We retain account, profile, gameplay, friend, chat, purchase entitlement, and moderation data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, enforce rules, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
You can delete your account in Settings. Account deletion removes or disassociates your profile and associated data from our active systems, subject to technical backups, legal requirements, fraud prevention, and records we must retain.
Crash logs, analytics, ad measurement, and attribution data are retained by our service providers according to their own retention settings and policies.
8. Your Rights
Access — you can view much of your data in the App, including profile, stats, game history, and settings.
Correction — you can edit your display name, profile photo, preferences, and some profile details in the App.
Deletion — you can delete your account in Settings or contact us for help.
Portability — contact us to request an export of your data.
Objection, restriction, opt-out, and withdrawal of consent — depending on your location, you may have the right to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.
Complaints — users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
9. Children's Privacy
WordSalvo is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions with a higher digital consent age may require parental consent under local law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without proper consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the last updated date above.
