Terms of Service

1. The Service

By using WordSalvo ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

WordSalvo is a multiplayer word game available on iOS and Android. You can play locally against friends or online against other players. The App includes features such as matchmaking, friends, chat, leaderboards, seasons, daily puzzles, post-game analysis, advertising, optional purchases, and subscriptions.

2. Accounts

You may use the App as a guest or create an account using Google, Apple, Facebook, or email/password sign-in.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

One account per person. Duplicate accounts used for manipulation may be terminated.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or external word solvers during online games.

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players via chat or any other feature.

• Create offensive usernames or profile content.

• Manipulate ratings by intentionally losing or colluding with other players.

• Attempt to exploit bugs, reverse-engineer the App, or access other players' data.

• Circumvent fair play detection, moderation, consent, payment, advertising, or security measures.

4. Fair Play

We use automated analysis and moderation tools to detect unfair play, including use of external word solvers. Players found to be cheating may receive warnings, rating adjustments, feature restrictions, or permanent account suspension at our discretion. Our fair play decisions are final.

5. Content & Chat

You are responsible for content you submit, including profile details, uploaded images, chat messages, reports, and support messages.

Chat messages and other content may be reviewed for moderation, safety, support, and enforcement.

You can report, block, or mute other players.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms.

6. In-App Purchases, Subscriptions, and Ads

The App may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions, including Premium and Remove Ads.

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund policies.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. We do not process full payment card details directly.

Non-premium users may see ads. Ad delivery and privacy choices are described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains our data collection, analytics, advertising, attribution, consent, and privacy choices.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Firebase and Google Cloud, Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform, Google, Apple and Facebook authentication, PostHog analytics, RevenueCat purchase management, TikTok Business SDK, Meta/Facebook SDK, Apple App Store, and Google Play. Your use of these services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Intellectual Property

WordSalvo and its content, including design, code, features, assets, and branding, are owned by Battlejet and protected by intellectual property laws. The word lists used in the App are sourced from open-license dictionaries. WordSalvo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to Scrabble, Wordfeud, or any other word game.

10. Availability

We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or modify the App at any time. We are not liable for loss of game data, rating changes, ad availability, purchase availability, or service interruptions to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Account Termination and Deletion

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time in the App's Settings. Account deletion removes or disassociates your profile and associated data from active systems, subject to technical backups, legal requirements, fraud prevention, moderation records, and records we must retain.

12. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the App, including lost data, rating changes, purchase issues, ad issues, or service interruptions.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by updating the last updated date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
